The "Monumenti" hand-knotted rug collection pays homage to the ancient architecture that shaped our past. With their visual abstractions of shapes and yellowish color, these ancient floor plans of famous buildings remind us of the importance of preserving our historical memory. As designer Fabio Novembre says, "A form of respect for our roots is transformed into soft surfaces within our homes, on which new steps are taken between past and future." This collection includes rugs with non-standard shapes where the border follows the original geometric form of the architectural plan.
Architectural plan of the famous Reggia Di Caserta, the Reggia rug comprises 61% silk and 39% wool, with a knot density of 80 knots/inch² and a 5 to 10 mm pile height.
