Vaghi is specialized in office and community seating, designed, produced and tested within the company. Vaghi was established in 1964 as "Tappezzeria dei Fratelli Vaghi", an upholstery shop, and thanks to entrepreneurial attitude of its founders it soon gained a position on the national and international markets, becoming a reference company in the domain of office chairs. Our collaboration with architects, research organizations and certification agencies has allowed us to propose, over the last fifty years, a number of exclusive models, inspired by the most innovative design and ergonomics. Vaghi has passed through the history of Italy since after the war, offering products always consistent with the historical period. In the 1960s, at the height of the economic boom, innovative models were born that pave the way for the new stylistic sensitivity of the "Made in Italy" that established itself all over the world in the 1970s. This is the moment when collaborations with important designers such as Francesco Trabucco and Marcello Vecchi, Giuseppe Raimondi, Vittorio Prato and finally Alberto Dematteis, begin. In the 80’s, the use of resins provides new design stimuli, softening shapes and lines, in 1988 Allegra was born a chair that will get the selection for the prestigious Compasso D'Oro award. In the 1990s, the advent of the digital era will further revolutionise the world of office chairs, imposing essential ergonomic requirements for the comfort of computer work. With the new millennium a new way of conceiving the office, a space for sharing ideas, projects and important moments is being created.
