SCHALLSAUGER® stands for optimal room acoustics in offices, public spaces and retail as well as in private areas. Like all of the company's products, the acoustic solutions of the SCHALLSAUGER® brand - including desk partitions, acoustic wall panels, acoustic suspension panels and innovative lighting elements such as the LED LIGHTBOXX® - are not only developed locally, but also produced exclusively in the company's own factory. This means that highly qualified employees manufacture the complete product by hand, using modern machinery. The brand belongs to Kasper GmbH, a German family business based in Rielasingen, a town bordering Switzerland on Lake Constance in the south of Baden-Württemberg. SCHALLSAUGER® products are printed using the dye-sublimation process, an extremely complex and relatively cost-intensive printing technique that is only offered by a few digital printers. However, the result is impressive and enables products with a colour intensity that was unimaginable just a few years ago.
SCHALLSAUGER® panels, acoustic solutions for public and contract
SCHALLSAUGER® acoustic panels are printed using the thermo-sublimation process, a complex digital printing technique that guarantees unsurpassed colour intensity. The company has its roots in photography. Not surprisingly, an extensive photo archive, mostly free of charge, is available to customers looking for a motif suitable for a given environment. Collaboration with other manufacturers, such as the Swiss company Derungs, has resulted in sophisticated products such as the ORION8® acoustic lighting or the MONO-LIT® acoustic column that received the German Design Award and the Iconic Awards Interior Innovation. Almost all of the company's suppliers are located close to the production site, which reduces costs and ultimately benefits the environment. In addition, the company derives up to 70 per cent of the energy required for production from its own photovoltaic systems. SCHALLSAUGER® products are printed using the dye-sublimation process, an extremely complex and relatively cost-intensive printing technique that is only offered by a few digital printers. However, the result is impressive and enables products with a colour intensity that was unimaginable just a few years ago.
Acoustic planning with SCHALLSAUGER®
The company supports customers in the planning of projects with many years of experience and the SCHALLSAUGER® acoustic calculator, an acoustic planning tool specially developed for small and medium-sized projects. For larger projects, the company also offers professional acoustic room planning in collaboration with independent acoustic planning offices. This includes building and room acoustic measurements, forecasts and simulations as well as acoustic furnishing planning. Acoustic specialists and engineers optimise all SCHALLSAUGER® products in the reverberation room until the right mix of materials produces the best possible result. The acoustic effect of an upholstery fabric changes at the latest when it is stretched. For this reason, every single sound-reducing SCHALLSAUGER® product is tested and certified by neutral measuring institutes before being launched on the market.
KASPER GmbH from its origins to the SCHALLSAUGER and LED-LightBoxx brands
The origins of the company go back to a film and photo studio founded by Otto Kasper with workshops for scenery construction. In 1992, the company entered the first digital photographic technologies that were becoming established on the market. In a transitional phase, the company Multimedia für digitale Medien und Digitaldruck was founded (1994) as well as a subsidiary dpi and Database Consortio AG in Zurich (1996). The company focussed on outdoor and traffic advertising concepts. In 2008, however, a complete reorientation towards digital printing and "large format printing" took place. After a 2-year test phase, the company launched the SCHALLSAUGER product onto the market under the management of Annina and Florian Kasper. KASPER Fotostudio.Digitaldruck.Werbetechnik GmbH is founded and quickly develops into a pioneer in the field of sound management. The company's path is characterised by innovation, influence on the industry and a commitment to harmonising sound and space. In doing so, the company pursues a dual objective: to create aesthetically pleasing solutions and at the same time significantly improve the acoustic environment. In 2014, fabric printing using the dye-sublimation process is introduced, opening up numerous new technical possibilities. In 2018, the company was renamed KASPER GmbH with the brands SCHALLSAUGER and LED-LightBoxx.
