S•CAB is a historic Made in Italy design brand for interior and garden furniture. Founded in 1957 by Cav. Francesco Battaglia in Coccaglio (BS), the company focused from the beginning on the production of furniture and housewares aimed at a rising middle class. Starting in the 1960s, seating production established itself as the company's main production sector. Thanks to the quality craftsmanship, functionality, and clarity of design, the chairs in the S•CAB catalog fit perfectly into various sectors, from residential to contract to outdoor. A pioneer in the treatment of thermoplastic materials, thanks to continuous research and constant innovation of production facilities, S•CAB is gradually opening up to the use of steel, woods and fabrics, to meet the demand for customization coming from the contract sector. In 2015 Francesco Battaglia was named Cavaliere del Lavoro (Knight of Labor) by President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, before leaving the reins of the company to the next generations, namely his daughters Luisa, now Creative Director, and Francesca, now Sales Director Italy in addition to his grandson Adelchi. Great changes followed, such as collaborations with established designers, yielding numerous design awards. 2021 marks the transition to the new logo, which with its S- indicates specialization in the production of seating, while a new showroom, designed by Architect Luca Piatti, sees the light of day in the Coccaglio plant. In 2022, S•CAB is entered in the register of historic Italian brands and welcomes the third generation into the workforce, with Ludovico Taglietti, Foreign Sales Manager, and Michelangelo Taglietti, Export Manager. Great goals for a company that represents a solid and rooted reality, which today boasts three factories with 85,000sqm of production area, international design teams, supported by the vocation to combine the protection of industrial heritage with a sustainable growth process.

S•CAB: chairs, stools, tables and loungers 100% Made in Italy

S•CAB offers different types of chairs, tables, sofas and furniture complements suitable for every need. In addition to the now iconic collections, the S•CAB catalog has been enriched with new collections, such as Malvasia, designed by Francesca Lanzavecchia, a true technical feat. The seat, in fact, is made of a single piece of steel, characterized by elegant fretwork, and invisibly welded to the tubular metal frame. Other new entries, the sofa and lounge chair that complete the Brezza collection, designed by Alessandro Stabile. These two pieces also fit into the groove of the successful Brezza chair, the progenitor, and are at the high end of the range, thanks to quality materials and attention to detail. Such as, for example, the attachment of the cushions to the frame without the use of glue, Velcro or buttons, or the simple removable covers and the possibility of replacement. Completing the collection is the Brezza low garden table, which features two large slats as tops, declined in concrete or HPL versions. Spalvieri & Del Ciotto sign the Atomo collection of contract garden tables bases for indoor and outdoor use, declined in two versions, both characterized by a die-cast base into which the legs fit. The three-spoke base version is declined in three heights, 50cm, 73cm and 109cm, while the 4-spoke Atomo version is available in 73cm and 109cm heights. Both can be combined with round or square tops of different sizes. The S•CAB catalog is also enriched by the Mimosa collection of garden pots and planters, designed by Ionna Vautrin. The Mimosa planter features a sculptural shape with great aesthetic impact. Made of aluminum, it sports a generous volume and a shape inspired by a flower, while the Mimosa planter holders, made of steel, with their sinuous profile recall the lines of roots or rhizomes. The Mimosa planter holders are available in standing and wall-mounted versions.

S•CAB tables, loungers and lounges: the sophistication of indoor and outdoor design

S•CAB's offerings go as far as indoor and garden tables and loungers for outdoor use. The tables and coffee tables offered by the company are different in shape, materials and use: from small sled tables to garden tables, from indoor or garden extendable tables to dining tables. Among the latest additions are the Flap garden armchair and chaise longue, which add to the collection, designed by Meneghello Paolelli. Suitable for both outdoor and indoor use, they fit into the modular system, which integrates backrests inspired by the shape of airplane flaps into the structure. A unique design that combines aesthetics and functionality, thanks to the movable backrest that allows multiple configurations, in addition to the comfort guaranteed by the generous padding. Among the tables, the latest arrivals, also by Meneghello Paolelli, sport a playful design inspired by the shapes of the hippopotamus. They are the Hyppo round and oval coffee tables. The paste-colored laminate top features a thin thickness and irregular shape, contrasting with the cylindrical aluminum legs with generous volume.
