Founded in 1980 by a group of creatives with a passion for design, Punt is a Valencia-based company specialising in the production of
residential and
contract furniture inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics. Punt's core value is to create beauty by designing elegant, practical furnishings with a clean, linear design. Based on Scandinavian design and close collaboration with established designers, Punt offers a catalogue of exclusive pieces with distinctive aesthetics. Entirely made in Spain, Punt furnishings are handcrafted by skilled artisans using top quality materials. In addition to the numerous awards for its products, some of which are true icons, in 1997, Punt received the Premio Nacional de Diseño, Spain's highest design award in recognition of a well-established, excellent and exemplary professional and commercial career.
Punt shelving and bookcases for the living area
Punt's success story began with the
Literatura modular bookcase system designed in 1985by company co-founder Vincent Martinez. Characterised by essential lines and extraordinary lightness, the product won numerous awards and prizes, including the ADI FAD selection in 1986. The unmistakable mobile shelf on castors at the front of the bookcase distinguishes this piece both aesthetically and functionally. Made of MDF veneered in oak or natural walnut, the Literatura system is available in different versions:
Literatura Light, an open shelving system;
Literatura Open, a metal structure with various elements like drawers, shelves, door storage units; the most recent
Literatura Selection combining simplicity of form with the refinement of materials like wood and gilded metal. The success of Literatura was not an accident, given the quality of the other Punt solutions for the
living area and storage. The
Malmö wall unit designed by Mario Ruiz is not that far removed from the aesthetic language of Literatura, faithfully maintaining its distinctive lightness, simplicity and refined materials. The space for a TV and a storage compartment in the base with elegant doors make it suitable for any residential living space. Mario Ruiz also designed another iconic Punt collection, which received the 2015 Red Dot Design Award. The
Stockholm line of cupboards, sideboards, chests and desks is inspired by the restrained lines and discreet volumes of 1950s Scandinavian design updated with a unique shelf with rails finished in anodised aluminium or matt metal.
Tables, chairs and sofas: Punt for the contract sector
Punt products immediately found their way into office and contract contexts, especially hotels and lounge areas. The incredible
Mitis collection occupies a special place among the
tables. Designed by Mario Ruiz, it stands out for its elegance, attention to detail and refined joints. Sturdy trestle-shaped solid oak or natural walnut legs support a thin veneered MDF top, creating a pleasing contrast. Mitis is also available

GIN modular sofa collection bears the prestigious signature of award-winning British designer Terence Woodgate. This product is characterised by simple lines and fine finishes and can be composed in infinite configurations. The
Mava armchair by young designer Stephanie Jasny has an oak or walnut structure with a robust appearance offset by the lightness of the backrest and seat in veneered panels. It is available in lacquered or natural wood, with or without an upholstered seat. The
