The refined touch of Ron Gilad enters the Alias collection, for which the Israeli designer has developed the theme of the basic four leg table.
His talent for conceptual synthesis, coupled with an ironic spirit, materializes in a collection of pared-down, abstract geometric shapes, in which the table corner – interpreted as a structural element – is magically emptied and almost stripped of its consistency, giving way to an enigmatic shape, an empty space outlined by colour.
The materials used for the structure/frame are aluminium die-cast and extrusion, with an ingenious concealed system which makes it possible to work with minimum thicknesses, while guaranteeing a result of extreme formal purity and great stability.
A collection of tables and side tables presented in four heights supporting square and rectangular tops in different sizes: the 110 cm high table supports a top measuring 40x40; the height of 73 cm, ideal for the living area, may be supplied with square tops (cm 40x40, 80x80, 120x120 and 140x140) or rectangular tops available in two depth (cm 80 and 100) and three length (cm 160, 180 and 200).
the desk with top size 140x70 cm which can support the Kelvin lamp by Flos, is suitable for the home-office. Tavolo zero system is completed by side tables cm 43 high available with rectangular top with depth 50 cm in three different length (cm 160, 180 and 200) and height 24 cm with square top (cm 40x40, 80x80, 120x120)
The tops are available in various materials: acrylic stone coral red, white, black, sand and graphite grey, or extra clear glass; they coordinate perfectly with the structure composed by a aluminium frame varnished in a choice of colours or polished, and four legs in stove enamelled aluminium or polished or natural oak veneered. The void corner element is varnished to accentuate its magical absence.
Tavolo zero represents the natural completion of the Alias table catalogue, positioned as it is on the border between abstraction and functionality.
