VINA V01 By Alias
Alias introduces vina, the padded furniture system styled by Patrick Norguet.
The aim pursued by the French designer is to simplify the traditional notion of sofa, which often relies on a complex series of steps, using foam and fabric components.
With a view to creating a practical, comfortable and elegant product, in perfect Alias style, Norguet designs a sofa whose appearance summarises and explains its genesis.
In vina it is the sinuous structure that generates the project: designed and conceived from the outside, it naturally supports the comfort zones.
From the production standpoint, vina is comprised of a frame, obtained by assembling various extruded aluminium elements that exalt the smoothness of the forms, and elastic belts that enhance the degree of comfort offered by the seat.
The cushions - a series of slender, carefully designed elements, which leave no geometry to chance – are made of diversified density polyurethane foam and are padded with goose feather.
Upholstered with fabric or leather, the cushions are specifically designed for the seat, the back and the arms of the sofa.
Norguet’s collection, vina, is comprised of an armchair and a sofa.
Loyal to the philosophy of the brand, whereby geometries are reduced in favour of materials pared down to the minimum, this family of padded furniture is characterised by a spirit that gets across an impression of lightness and simplicity, blending together comfort and elegance.
