Pablo Design is a brand specializing in the design and production of designer lighting, founded by designer Pablo Pardo. Raised between Venezuela and Chile, he landed with his family in the United States, where he spent most of his time among remote-controlled airplanes manufactured by his father, a civil engineer. After studying Industrial Design he worked in the automotive and toy industries, but it was the idea of "dressing up" light that attracted him the most. Thus, in 1993, Pablo Design was born in San Francisco, with the launch of his first two creations: the Piccola and Uno lamps. Famous for designing his lamps on paper towels, Pablo was inspired by nature, architecture and the 10 principles of the great German designer Dieter Rams. Minimalist design, functionality and a harmonious relationship with environments and users characterize Pablo Design lamps, an approach that over the years has earned the designer several awards and accolades, including the recent 2023 Best of Year Awards, preceded by Best Lighting at the International Contemporary Fair ICFF in New York, Best of Competition at the Neocon Fair in Chicago, Best of the Year Winner in Interior Design, the Red Dot Award and the German Design Award. Today Pablo Design has a worldwide presence through a select network of dealers, both in physical locations and online.

Pablo Design lamps, unique, sophisticated and functional

In the Pablo Design catalog we find the iconic Totem collection, which combines tradition, in the blown glass workmanship, with current LED technologies, thanks to the dimmable device in three combinations, Up/Down Light, Down Light and Flush Down Light. The diffusers are developed in three geometric modules of white opal glass, which can be combined to create different configurations, and the collection includes the Totem pendant lamp, the Totem table lamp, and the Totem Single table lamp, composed of only one element. The Bola collection offers a complete range for indoor lighting, played around the classic sphere shape in white opal glass. The group of pendant lamps includes the Bola Sphere lamp, which is the basic version of the collection, the Bola Disc system, in which the diffuser is coupled with a chrome reflector disc, and the Bola Halo lamp, which sports a chrome ring placed on top of the sphere. The T.O collection bears the signature of Carmine Deganello, and looks like a seemingly simple light rod that actually conceals technical prowess. In the table and floor versions, the luminous body, inserted in a thin metal rod, is attached to the marble base by a magnet, and can be rotated 360°. The T.O suspension lamp transforms into a true modular system that can be endlessly configured, thanks to nylon straps that can mount up to three light bodies.

Technological lighting solutions by Pablo Design

The Pablo Design catalog also offers a series of technological solutions applied to lighting, such as rechargeable lamps. Prominent among them all is the UMA table lamp, design by Pablo Pardo and Carmine Deganello, a lantern with an elegant and minimalist shape that hides revolutionary technologies, such as the Warm Dim LED with 360° HiFi surround sound, touch volume control, Bluetooth connectivity for wireless connection and transmission from any mobile device. The Bola collection is enriched with the Bola table lamp, equipped with an elegant leather handle and a reflector disc that serves as a stand, declined in chrome, brass, gunmetal, and matte black finishes. The Bola Felt pendant lamp also adds a technical functionality, thanks to the wavy shade made of wool felt with acoustic properties. Acoustic lamps also include the Sky Sound pendant lamp, which is part of the Sky modular lighting system for offices and public places. The Circa table lamp, made of aluminum, has a USB charging port and features a disc-shaped shade with extraordinarily versatile LED lighting. Thanks to an ingenious mechanism, the disc can be rotated and tilted at will, offering endless configurations to illuminate the environment. Elegance, minimalism and functionality distinguish the Contour collection, declined in table and floor versions. The open-framed shape provides a base for charging devices, thanks to the integrated USB port, while fine wood or fabric finishes for the interior, combined with white or graphite options for the metal exterior, add a sophisticated touch.
