NOËL & MARQUET is a Belgian brand specializing in the production of
decorative wall elements such as
frames,
three-dimensional wall coverings,
skirting boards, and
linear lighting profiles. Founded in 1950 in Hauset, Belgium, by Gert Noël and Raymond Marquet, it was established as a distributor of an innovative polyurethane foam household sponge under the name Noël Marquet & Cie SA. This was the early days of the development of polyurethane foams, and the company, grasping the potential of these materials, soon specialized in production, filing numerous patents over the years. In the 1960s the company's expansion began, first with distribution branches, later with production sites dedicated to insulation and packaging products, and at the same time it began to manufacture decorative moldings from synthetic foam blocks. The company's successful parabola saw the acquisition of other manufacturing entities and the expansion of plants in Europe and the United States, which transformed it into a multinational company with the creation of the NMC Group, still firmly in the hands of the Noël family, now in its third generation. The products in the decorative range are now distributed under the NOËL & MARQUET brand name, and are made with innovative patented and registered materials, such as polyurethane elements marketed as
ARSTYL® for interiors and
DOMOSTYL® for application on facades, or even
WALLSTYL® for decorative skirting boards and
NOMASTYL® interior profiles in extruded polystyrene. Today, the brand is a point of reference for designers, architects and decorators, thanks to dedicated services such as Extranet NMC, which offers privileged access to design support resources, or through the managers of one of more than 50 concept stores scattered around the world.
Three-dimensional wall coverings NOËL & MARQUET
The NOËL & MARQUET catalog includes a large and varied selection of three-dimensional polyurethane foam elements for
wall decoration, from panels to
laths, pillars and capitals to door frames and
trim profiles. The surface treated with white matte primer facilitates the application of paints for a customized final look. Three-dimensional decorative panels offer solutions for wall cladding declined from trendy patterns to classic styles. The modular Canelé L ARSTYL® wall covering is inspired by the understated, minimalist style of Scandinavian interiors with its simple yet striking vertical grooves. The CANELÉ R L ARSTYL® variant adds an element with a semicircular pattern to the collection, which can be matched to the main panel, while the CANELÉ L FLEX ARSTYL® cladding flexes to adhere to walls with rounded edges, for a more articulate decoration. Contemporary style and bold aesthetic solutions characterize the polyurethane tiles of the Curve series, which flaunts striking three-dimensional graphic patterns, or the Wing ARSTYL® tiles, signed by Mac Stopa, featuring an hourglass shape and a domed surface in the center. There is no shortage of striking textural effects, as in the Wave ARSTYL® tile, which simulates the organic movement and ripples of waves. For rooms with a classic taste, the ideal are the Z12 ARSTYL® laths, which reproduce the classic moldings and decorative plant motifs inspired by Haussmannian apartments.
NOËL & MARQUET solutions for finishing ceilings and floors
In addition to walls, NOËL & MARQUET's offer is completed with decorative elements for
finishing ceilings and
floors. The M1 NOMASTYL® polystyrene frame offers an essential design solution for connecting panels to the ceiling, while the Z42 ARSTYL® frame fits perfectly into classic interiors, connecting the wall and ceiling with its rounded profile and plant motif decorations, which can also be placed in corners. Individual elements such as small R17 ARSTYL® rosettes, or large center-ceiling rosettes, such as R9 ARSTYL®, complete the decoration, providing a refined aesthetic solution to complement pendant lamps. For finishing floors, NOËL & MARQUET has thought of polystyrene skirting boards, grouped in the WALLSTYL® collection, declined in different models. The FL17 skirting board is suitable for rooms with high ceilings, given its height of 170 mm, while FD7 features a height of only 70 mm, for lower ceilings and for those who prefer a modern look. The NOËL & MARQUET catalog also includes frames that can be integrated with LED profiles and strips to create striking lighting effects along the edges and on the walls. The IL8 ARSTYL® model bears the signature of Michaël Bihain, and is distinguished by its simple, linear design, while the IL10 Black WALLSTYL® indirect lighting skirting board from the Black Edition collection offers the option of inserting lighting along the floor profile.
