Founded in the 1960s, Lapalma specialises in wood and metal chairs, stools, armchairs and tables for residential and contract use. The brand combines attention to detail and Made-in-Italy quality with a constant focus on technological and aesthetic innovation. Lapalma invests in research, development and cutting-edge machinery to carry on a strong crafts tradition within a large, complex and environmentally friendly industrial structure. The brand's strength has been reinforced by collaborations with some of the most important names in the design sector. In 2013, artistic direction was entrusted to Francesco Rota. In 2020, the company inaugurated the Seela chair collection in partnership with Antti Kotilainen, preceded by the LEM stool collection by Shin & Tomoko Azumi.

The brand designs solutions for large spaces and hospitality and catering facilities and complements for the retail sector consistent with the brand's identity and history closely linked to Made-in-Italy values; the catalogue includes bar stools and restaurant chairs and tables. Lapalma's office furniture solutions - desks, ergonomic chairs and executive armchairs - are also noteworthy. The office catalogue is completed by a series of solutions for meeting areas and waiting rooms.

Lapalma: Made-in-Italy furniture since the 1960s

Based on the intuition of the Marcato brothers, the Lapalma story began in the 1960s in Cadoneghe in the province of Padua. Lapalma's evolution and successes result from the far-sightedness and determination of its founders, who, starting in a small workshop, based their reliable and methodical business model on three essential features: quality crafts, innovation and ecology. Lapalma chose to embrace environmental sustainability from its first projects, carefully selecting recyclable and natural raw materials. The brand's growth was fostered by its commitment to experimentation and avant-garde technology. Important investments in new machinery allowed the company to manage increasingly challenging projects without sacrificing the high quality standards of its products. The company grew steadily, opening to the contract market and international distribution, reaching over 80 countries worldwide. The company has received industry recognition, including the Good Design Award, the FX International Interior Design Award and Design Plus.
