Founded in 1912, JUNG is a German company that produces switches and home automation control systems, revolutionary for their technology, design, quality and usability. The company's goal is to make every interior smart, comfortable and easy to manage. JUNG products are intended for civil and industrial buildings, homes, commercial spaces, offices and contract settings; they include switches, wall transmitters, environmental controllers, interfaces for home automation systems, intercoms and video intercoms. JUNG is a family business passed down from generation to generation and firmly rooted in its territory, with an international perspective. Its many certifications, an R&D department geared towards making increasingly intelligent products and solid Made-in-Germany values have made this company a reliable leader for over a century.
JUNG switches and home automation systems
Within its extensive production, JUNG switches are still the flagships of its achievements. Le Corbusier is the classic model with its clean lines, a large central button covering almost the entire surface and 63 different colours that make it suitable for any interior. The choice of name (one of the most famous 20th-century architects) is no coincidence. The Dimmer LS 990 is a different switch; it looks like a square plate with a large central button. Made of plastic or metal, this model, with its many colours, fits perfectly into modern interiors and can be used for various functions. The elegant LS Plus is a chrome and glass switch with satin, white or black finishes, perfect for refined and rigorous spaces, where class is a must. JUNG technology is showcased in many products. For example, Smart control is an interface for home automation systems available in different sizes - an indispensable home automation assistant with its high-resolution touchscreen, consistent responsiveness, and extremely easy wall-mounting. The accompanying Android app controls it remotely while new apps are constantly added.
JUNG: more than a century of electro-technical history
In 1912, Albrecht Jung, an electromechanical engineer, decided to manufacture electrotechnical products in Schalksmühle, a small town in the German Sauerland. His first product was the 1/8th turn pull switch, the principle of which forms the basis of the company's current switches. Continuous research and the ability to adapt to market demands led the JUNG family to specialise in switches and sockets. From the outset, quality and design were of great importance. In the 1970s, the first push-button switches were developed as an alternative to toggle or rotary switches; they were innovative at the time and are still very much in vogue today. With the boom in the construction industry and the need for increasingly high-performance products, JUNG entered a new era of constant growth and progress, developing more modern designer switches, sockets, dimmers and sensors. Alongside these hallmark products, the company developed research into lighting control, blinds control, temperature control and even KNX technology for communicating with multimedia devices. Naturally, every product is designed with energy savings and environmental sustainability in mind. JUNG's first factory in Schalksmühle, Sauerland, is still the brand's primary production site, R&D, training centre, etc. The factory has continued to expand, becoming a centre of excellence and innovation - a true symbol of the JUNG family's great attachment to Germany. A second factory was opened in Lünen, Westphalia, and over time it has become an independent hub with its own logistics centre, warehouse and shipping centre. JUNG has always embraced the principles of a short supply chain and ecology, with highly localised production capable of reaching the entire world.
