isOnAir is a place to wander in the universe of design among
furniture, objects,
t-shirts, accessories and even dreams. Everything is designed, curated or selected by Luciano Bertoncini and his studio. isOnAir approaches the industry in an innovative way and involves all its activities: conception, research, design, development, production, trade, promotion, communication and dissemination. The aim of the isOnAir project is to offer, through online sales, innovative furniture, objects and clothing products, oriented towards environmental and social sustainability for people passionate about design and design culture. We are not only involved in designing, selecting and curating these innovative products, but also in disseminating the history of design to welcome our audience in a place where they can recognize themselves. Inside isOnAir you can wander to discover its collections, each with its own identity, but all coherent in the desire to discover the perfect balance between functionality, comfort and sustainability, between aesthetics, art and fashion.
Bertoncini, the first isOnAir collection
Bertoncini collects the products designed by Luciano Bertoncini for isOnAir.com. Born in Feltre in 1939, Luciano Bertoncini moved to Treviso where he worked in the studio of the architect Vittorio Rossi, acquiring experience in the construction and design sectors. In this period he designed the Zattera bed and the Italian Look living room furniture which, due to their innovative content, contributed to defining modern Italian furniture. In 1968, he met the designer Joe Colombo, who, as art director of the Elco company, included the Gronda coat hanger in his catalogue, which won second prize in the Abet Print competition in 1971. After the sudden death of Joe Colombo, he completed the executive part of his project for the exhibition, “Italy: the new domestic landscape” at the Moma in New York. With the Aprilia company, he also designed the Tuareg Wind motorcycle, selected at the 14th Compasso d'Oro. In the furniture sector he designs for various companies and, with the Bellato company, he was selected for the 10th Compasso d'Oro with the Onda bed. He followed the corporate image of Technogym, Seventy, Aprilia, Diadora, Invicta and Belstaff for which he also designed the single-brand stores. For more than ten years, the American DWR, now owned by Herman Miller, has included an exclusive project for aluminum beds in its catalogue. In 1999, the city of Oderzo dedicated a personal exhibition to him of his thirty years of activity, with a publication edited by Virginio Briatore, presented by Sergio Polano, RDE Ricerche Design Editrice. With a studio in Treviso, he continues to work in design and architecture.

They are designed to minimize transportation and are crafted for easy assembly. With the IsAgain collection, isOnAir is continually searching for the best materials and technologies to achieve its goals: creativity, awareness, sharing, and simplicity.
Vaghimiti, design myths on t-shirts
Vaghimiti is a vaguely infinite collection of portraits freely created by Luciano Bertoncini with pencils and pastels on A4 transparencies. Vaghimiti are the myths of design, the myths of the history of design: those who come from the Bauhaus, the Nordics and the Americans, the protagonists of the Italian design boom, the visionary industrialists, those who replaced the decorum with the rationality of the modern and who continues to produce vaguely mythical ideas. The vaghimiti collection is reproduced on t-shirts because it is the most democratic means of disseminating legendary popularizers of design.
