The HOPPE Group is a Swiss company that manufactures and distributes window handles and door handles in aluminium, stainless steel, resin and brass. The products are made with the latest technology and great aesthetics. Founded in the 1950s, the company succeeded in entering the international market in the mid-'70s with a series of models that stand out for innovation, performance and technology, especially aluminium processing. Today, Hoppe has seven factories in Europe and the United States, with products that reach every corner of the globe. Starting from respect for the environment and for people, the German company has ambitious goals. The aspiration is for Hoppe products to become real added value, thanks to a philosophy based on creativity and the products' ability to stand out from the rest. Environmental protection, in the workplace and in nature, is a fundamental principle for Hoppe. The brand believes that there is no system more capable than nature of managing itself economically and efficiently. Hoppe is committed to respecting available resources and limits waste to a minimum. Hoppe handles are manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. Water is recycled. Packaging pursues low environmental impacts, using recycled and recyclable materials. Alternative and clean energy sources are preferred, and - last but not least - energy efficiency measures are kept under constant control. This attention has led Hoppe to become a member of the 'Hessen Ecological Alliance'. The company has obtained numerous environmental management certifications.

Safety and design of Hoppe handles

Practicality and safety characterise Hoppe's brand new line of contactless handles. The eManiglia HandsFree won the 2022 Archiproducts Design Awards. Resista is an escutcheon handle available in eight different colours, four of which are satin-finished. Suitable for both doors and windows, it is very durable with a finish that will last for years, even in harsh weather conditions. Austin is a particularly elegant recessed handle made of aluminium, the company's preferred material. Its square-shaped rose has rounded edges, and the handle is integrated into the profile. Secusan® is an anti-bacterial handle explicitly designed for environments where hygiene levels need to be exceptionally elevated, such as doctors' surgeries, pharmacies, nursing homes, kindergartens, schools and public facilities. It has an antimicrobial finish and, thanks to its hygienic properties, it can be adapted to the needs of hotels, restaurants and industrial facilities.

Hoppe, locks and handles since 1952

Friedrich Hoppe founded Hoppe in 1952 near Düsseldorf; after working in the industry, he decided to set up his own business to produce locks and handles. Since the 1960s, the company's slogan has been "The handle that furnishes". After establishing several factories throughout Europe, Hoppe continued to develop new products and opened factories overseas (America and China). Over sixty years, what began as a small workshop in the German provinces grew into an international company that has always met the needs of its clients with an eye for safety and aesthetics. Hoppe today is a Group made up of several independent medium-sized companies to stay even closer to its customers and collaborators. In this way, the company applies a policy of transparency and attention to the market and consumers. It is not surprising that the company has remained faithful to the single, exclusive production of handles and locks instead of diversifying like many other companies of similar size. Although it is a family-run business and determined to remain so, close attention is paid to market needs, knowing how and when to change by adapting production and evolving internal company organisation. The brand has always held its employees in high regard, placing them before technology. Naturally, this respect is reflected in the brand's care and concern for the environment. All Hoppe products are manufactured to strict European standards and certified for use according to DIN EN requirements. ... More ... less
