Geberit products date to 1874 when Caspar Melchior Albert Geber opened his plumbing business. After achieving success with flushing cisterns, the company grew over time by acquiring brands that reinforced its know-how in bathroom systems to produce sanitary ceramics, furniture, accessories, showers, taps, fittings, control plates, cisterns, and water supply and flushing systems. Simply put, Geberit products seek to improve the quality of life of their users. The company considers water savings to be a vital part of its mission to protect the environment and people. The Geberit Group, based in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland, has twenty-nine factories and approximately twelve thousand employees in about fifty countries. Its products have been chosen for important projects like the Julier Tower by Walter Bieler and Giovanni Netzer; Zayed University by BRT Architects; Titanic Belfast by Todd Architects; the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the National Museum of Qatar, both by Jean Nouvel.
