Bõln is a Spanish brand founded in November 2020 in Cabañas de Ebro. Specialized in versatile polyurethane furniture, it is supported by Poliuretanos Rivas, creator of the technology behind Bõln products, Flexyskin. The Bõln collections were created to encourage and inspire the setting up of shared spaces, indoor and outdoor. These proposals have been specially designed to adapt without problems to multiple environments and styles - neutral, colored, fixed or changing ones - depending on the place, the needs and the creative nature of the project. The Madrid-based Stone Designs studio created Bõln's first two collections: the Sarek modular system and the Abisko stools. As a result of the studio's experience in designing interiors and shared spaces, both collections offer proposals for extremely functional environments with an original style and the ability to withstand even high loads. Bõln products have been designed so that they can be used for any type of space, indoor or outdoor, from the common areas of hotels, shopping centers or residential areas to offices, co-working spaces, airports, sports facilities, shops, waiting areas, bars and restaurants. The accessories supplied with each collection allow the user to design in the most flexible way; moreover, the clients can customize the shades of the products' surfaces.
Flexyskin: the technology behind Bõln products
Flexyskin is a new technology developed by Poliuretanos Rivas that improves the properties of the polyurethane foam used in the design of Bõln furniture; these, although robust and compact, give a soft and comfortable feeling to the touch. In addition, their colorful appearance makes them perfect in a large number and variety of environments. Flexyskin technology, using polyurethane foam produced with green waste, allows the creation of resistant, long-lasting, non-deformable, fireproof, waterproof and easy to clean volumes and, therefore, efficient in shared spaces both indoors and outdoors. The surfaces of Bõln products are also certified antifungal and antibacterial.
The characteristics of Bõln products
Eco-sustainability. The raw material of the polyurethane foam used for the Flexyskin technique comes from green waste. Non-deformability. Despite the typical heavy use of shared spaces, the surfaces do not change or deform. Softness. Despite their robust look, the surfaces are soft and pliable to provide a comfortable rest. Absence of seams. The compact block produced with Flexyskin provides a fluid and organic design. Resistance. Flexyskin technology increases the resistance of Bõln designs compared to other similar products, making them robust and long-lasting. Resistance to bacteria. The surfaces have antifungal and antibacterial properties certified by the JIS Z 2801 (ISO 22196) standard. Fire resistant. Bõln products are non-flammable and do not spread flames, a crucial feature for shared spaces. Waterproofness. Water does not penetrate into the surfaces, which makes Bõln products also perfect for outdoor environments. Safety. The entire manufacturing process is certified in terms of safety standards, as well as the origin of the raw materials.
