Barausse specialises in the production and design of interior doors, mainly for the contract sector. Founded by the Barausse brothers in 1967 in Monticello Conte Otto in the province of Vicenza, the company rapidly evolved from an artisanal enterprise into an industrial one. In the 1980s, the company promoted the Italian consortium Superlegno, established to monitor the sector's production processes and materials. Barausse was also the first Italian door manufacturer to obtain ISO 9002 certification, while its fire resistance certifications made the company attractive to the contract world. Today Barausse doors, designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, boast 10 international certifications and 18 industrial patents. Thanks to its high technical and aesthetic quality and collaboration with architects like Massimo Bellunato and Massimo Iosa Ghini, the company is a sector leader in Italy and abroad. Barausse offers an extensive catalogue of wood and aluminium doors in classic and modern styles. The company creates customised solutions and provides consultancy and assistance from the first contact through installation. Customised finishes vary from fine woods like oak, walnut and elm, hand-finished or soft-touch patinated lacquer, to glossy thermopolymer surfaces to stone and cement. The catalogue's flagship products are pantographed doors, available in natural wood and lacquered.

Modern Barausse wood doors: tradition meets innovation

Barausse has decades of experience in the production of wood doors. Today the company offers a wide range of models. Those designed by architect Massimo Bellunato stand out among the modern door collections. Made with a refined pantographed decoration in 9 variants, Bellunato doors are available in natural oak or lacquered with a choice of RAL NCS colours and a soft-touch finish. The line includes the Valzer hinged door, the BIT sliding double-leaf door on an invisible track reaching a height of 300 cm, and the Ottagono flush-to-wall door. The doors can be combined with unique TN25 25 cm wide panels, which increase its aesthetic impact, thanks to the decoration that continues from the door to the wall surface without interruption. The Iosanghini collection, designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini, includes Lucio 30 & Lucio 20 Fila, with Lucio Fontana-inspired pantographed decorations. Graffiata has curved and geometric pantographs, lacquered or in wood. The Secret You door is the most versatile of all. The invisible door is treated with You, a primer that allows the application of any kind of plaster, paint, material effect, wallpaper or decorative frame to the surface. Shiny is a collection of glossy and elegant doors lacquered with ABS. This technically advanced polymer is resistant, recyclable and restorable and ensures remarkable durability with a minimal and elegant look.

Barausse, classic collections and aluminium doors

In addition to modern wood doors with a contemporary feel, Barausse offers various solutions to meet all style requirements, from classic to minimalist. The catalogue provides classic hinged doors characterised by frames, shaped jambs, capitals and plinths. With a standard magnetic lock, they can be customised with invisible hinges, soundproofing and fire resistance. They are also available in flush and sliding interior or exterior models. Classic doors can be combined with the panelling system. The 1600 Doge model is decorated with panels framed by striking mouldings; it is available with a lacquered or hand-patinated finish in three pastel colours. While classic in taste, the Giotto collection is also suitable for contemporary contexts with its elegant panels framed by slender profiles. Barausse introduced aluminium doors to its catalogue in 2005 to offer minimalist furnishing solutions. Characterised by unique thin and discreet profiles, Barausse aluminium doors are functional and versatile. The glass door collection is distinguished by its essential and elegant design, with aluminium profiles and integrated handles that create interesting geometric patterns. Laminated safety glass is available in various finishes and decorations: lacquered, satin-finished, silk-screened, with linen or metal mesh inserts and with Stopsol treatment that allows the glass to be coated with a partially reflective metal layer.
